In this session, our regular trainer, Rhian Williams, will update us on the latest changes affecting all the major social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok. She will talk about the impact of the changing algorithms used by these  platforms.

Rhian will review the social media landscape and identify some key trends. She will show us some best practice by INGOs and look at how they are using social media to amplify their message and reach and range of audiences - particularly in the international development sector. She will also show us some common mistakes to avoid.

Rhian will look ahead to the next 12 months and identify some key trends and other issues that are likely to come to the fore.

The training session is carefully planned and will include two short breaks and plenty of time for questions and discussion. It is aimed at social media officers, heads of social media, media officers, heads of media and others who use social media in a work setting.
