Briefing with BBC News Channel
Join us for this special briefing with the BBC News channel just weeks after its launch. The new global news channel is the result of a merger between BBC News (for UK audiences only) and BBC World News (for global audiences). It's the first time that the BBC has provided a 24 hour genuinely global news service for UK audiences. We believe this represents an important opportunity for IBT members to reach both UK and global audiences.
Main speaker: Paul Royall, Executive News Editor, BBC News Channel
Paul will be joined by one of his deputy editors and one of the planning team. They will explain to us how the new channel will work, what its news priorities will be and how best to pitch story ideas and guests to the editorial team.
We will also be hearing from Liliane Landor, Director of the World Service.
Paul and Liliane will join us for tea/coffee and networking after the event.
This event is free for IBT members but registration is essential to ensure your place. Deadline for registration is 12pm noon Friday 12th May.
Bookings are closed for this event.
